FOCUSED ON FAMILY LAW & YOU

Lynn Matits Gianforte, Esq. is a Partner at Diamond & Diamond, P.A., with more than 25 years of experience in family law. She is widely recognized for her strategic advocacy, discretion, and ability to navigate complex and high-profile divorce matters with precision, sound judgment, and sensitivity.

Lynn began her legal career at a boutique law firm in New York City, where she developed a strong foundation in litigation and gained extensive experience handling sophisticated divorce, custody, and financial matters. This early training shaped her disciplined approach to the practice of law, which is grounded in meticulous preparation, strategic insight, and an unwavering commitment to client-centered advocacy.

She later transitioned to New Jersey, joining Diamond & Diamond, P.A., where she balanced the continued practice of matrimonial law, including divorce, custody, support issues, equitable distribution of assets, and drafting pre- and post-divorce agreements. At the same time, Lynn was raising her own family with her husband. This dual perspective, as both a seasoned litigator and mediator, and a dedicated mother, has become a defining strength in her work. It provides her with a nuanced understanding of the emotional and practical complexities her clients face, enabling her to advocate effectively while remaining attuned to the human dimensions of each matter.

As her husband often jokes, raising two strong-willed daughters has only sharpened Lynn’s negotiation skills and strengthened her instincts as a litigator.

Professionally, Lynn incorporates her maiden name with her married name as a tribute to her parents and the values that shaped her path to the legal profession, as well as to the strong family foundation that continues to guide her work.

She is known for resolving disputes thoughtfully and efficiently, whether through skilled negotiation, mediation, or assertive courtroom advocacy, always with a focus on achieving meaningful and lasting outcomes.

In recent years, she has placed a particular emphasis on mediation as a practical alternative to the time-consuming, emotionally taxing, and financially burdensome nature of litigation. Drawing on her legal acumen, creative instincts, and family values, Lynn develops tailored, effective solutions that help clients reach fair resolutions while preserving important family relationships.

Her clients consistently commend her for her clarity, responsiveness, and unwavering advocacy, resulting in a strong, referral-based practice built on trust and proven results.

Outside the office, Lynn enjoys the companionship of her Labrador retriever, Lola, a beloved frequent Friday office visitor. As the firm’s Wellness & Comfort Ambassador, Lola’s affectionate presence has made her an unofficial source of comfort to both clients and colleagues alike.
